Freightliner Northwest first reached out to INNOVA in 2012for this legacy project of expansion and renovation of their corporate headquarters in Pacific Washington. The family owned company continues to acquire new facilities but had wanted to explore viability for expansion of their primary facility in Pacific Washington. Those efforts in 2012 sparked future thoughts into where we are today looking to grow their current corporate offices and service bays by nearly double is size. Their current facilities of65,000 SF will grow to nearly 128,000 SF doubling their service bays, customer sales and service areas, providing new staff amenities and greatly increasing the efficiency and flow of the current facility. As a masterplan has been in place for the facility INNOVA has been in collaboration with the client and Barghausen Consulting Engineers to dial in the proposed efforts to those permissible in the developer’s agreement. Unique peat soils on the site require extensive coordination with geotechnical engineering to accommodate the significant slab loads required in the service bays. Extensive coordination with the client and contractor was needed in order to renovate and expand while keeping the facility in operation with minimal impact. INNOVA provided architecture and structural engineering for this project. | Client: Gordon Truck Centers
